A story for siblings about autism and different ways of communicating.
I wrote My Brother Talks in Bubbles for families like mine, and yours.
It is a gentle story to help young children understand that some people communicate differently.
Through the eyes of Aria, a little sister with a big heart, and her brother Mason, a superhero who talks in his own bubble language.
The story encourages empathy, celebrates differences, and opens a door for conversations about autism in a way young children can actually follow.
Reading it together
You can share the story with a sibling or another young child, pausing to talk about Aria and Mason and the different ways people communicate. There is no right response to the story: let the child ask questions and take it at their own pace.
One family’s story
This is a children’s story inspired by our family, not a guide to every autistic person’s experience or a therapy programme. Every child and family is different.
Read our family story and why I wrote the book.

Clear and concise. Easy for children to understand
Bought the story to help my girls understand their nephew of the same age who has autism. The book is wonderful and they ask for the story again and again.
What a beautiful book, a lovely way to teach others about neuro diversity. The illustrations are beautiful and the words are perfect.
