I published the book. Now I’m sat here thinking… what now?

I finally put My Brother Talks in Bubbles out into the world.

It’s about a little girl trying to understand her autistic brother who doesn’t talk. That’s Aria and Mason. That’s us.

Writing it wrecked me in a good way. Hitting publish felt mental. I thought that was the hard bit.

It wasn’t.

Telling people about it is the hard bit. Every time I post I’m showing our family to strangers and hoping it lands with the right parents. Some days that feels brave. Some days it just feels awkward.

But I know this book matters.

It’s for kids who don’t get why their brother doesn’t play like everyone else. It’s for mums and dads who want something gentle and honest. It’s for families like mine who just want to feel seen.

And it’s for me too. Putting a bit of our life on paper has been healing, even when I’m winging the rest of it.

I haven’t got a five-step plan. I’m posting when I feel weird doing it. I’m learning the search words parents actually type. I’m showing real bits of our life on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram. I’m building this site so if someone’s up at 2am googling support, they might find us.

If you’re trying to share something personal and it feels scary, I get it. Keep going. Someone out there might need it.

The book is here.
